Despite hopes that singer Simon Le Bon‘s voice would be fully recovered by now, Duran Duran have been forced today to postpone their upcoming Berlin date once again (rescheduled for Wednesday June 8 at the Tempodrom) on doctor’s advice. A new, replacement date will be announced shortly.
Duran Duran were due to start a world tour in support of their latest studio album, All You Need Is Now, in early May, but have had to postpone all of the concerts so far following Simon Le Bon’s vocal problems, which were diagnosed just days before the first dates of the tour.
Doctors are confident that Le Bon’s voice will be back to full strength shortly, but don’t want him to embark on concerts until he is 100% recovered.
Fans should hold on to their tickets and follow www.electronicbeats.net for the latest news on all rescheduled shows.
We are very happy that Electronic Beats Classics presents Duran Duran will be taking place on Wednesday June 8th in Berlin’s Tempodrom. One of the biggest bands of the past 30 years will be performing material from their new album – All you need is Now -produced by none other than Mark Ronson as well as the classic songs that helped to define a generation. We will also be taking this opportunity to celebrate Nick Rhodes’ Birthday which falls on the day of the concert.
Tempodrom has a special association for Electronic Beats Classics as it was where our inaugural event was held with the first lady of disco – Donna Summer. We are also very pleased to announce that extra tickets will be available for fans to purchase.
Keep your eyes peeled on Electronic Beats for further updates, and the chance to win tickets.
