Videodrome #69 – This week’s best videos

Pretty low music video week, but for sure there’s a lot of A/V-fun to be had while watching the latest installments from  Miike Snow, Citizens!, Trimbal or Daphni. Film ab!

#1 Altar Eagle – Runaways, directed by Portlyn Houghton-Harjo

If you’re looking for the youngest director who ever launched a video on EB, here we are. Believe it or not, this film was made by 11 y/o Portlyn Houghton-Harjo.

#2 Miike Snow – The Pretender, dir.?

Pretty weird video, but it’s cool filmed at this years Hard Fest In L.A. Watch it!

///

#3 Citizens! – True Romance, directed by We Are From La

You might remember the Citizens! playing live in Cologne last year; well, here’s their beautiful, brilliant new video.

#4 Schneider TM – Grinder in The Sky, directed by Lilevän

Tomorrow our interview with Drik Dresselhaus aka Schneider TM will drop. Today – as an appetizer – his latest video for ‘Grinder in The Sky’, made by his collaborator and media-manipulator Lillevän.

///

#5 Trimbal – Confidence Boost, directed by Rollo Jackson

Here’s a brand new video to back the dividing “Confidence Boost” by Trim and James Blake which features the former rapping and the latter just kind of standing about.

///

#6 Dum Dum Girls – End Of Daze, directed by Christin Turner

Official video for “Lord Knows” by the ever wonderful Dum Dum Girls. Their End of Daze EP is out later this week.

///

#7 Kylie Minogue – Flower (self-directed)

I like the song. Kylie’s giving me some true Lana del Rey teas with the visuals of the video even the song itself.

///

#8 Electric Light Orchestra – Mr. Blue Sky

Song You Should Probably Know, #291: Electric Light Orchestra, “Mr. Blue Sky” from Out of the Blue (1977)

///

#9 Voxels – EveryGirl, dir?

Today I have been mostly listening to Voxel, I highly recommend you check out this track if you’re an electronica fan!

///

#10 Daphni – Pairs, directed by Jane Eastlight

Daphni AKA Caribou has just dropped a new video from his upcoming Jiaolong LP. Just don’t expect a lot from the video.
