Looking at the lineup of Vice Magazine‘s birthday celebration in Vienna, you could call the mixture of different artists and styles coming together a bit weird. But since music has never been the most important thing at Vice gatherings, that probably doesn’t come as a surprise. Regardless of what debauchery is going on around you, there are a couple of musical highlights you simply cannot miss.
First and foremost, there is Wolfram, long-time Electronic Beats contributor and resident DJ at every Electronic Beats Festival in Austria. Since he’s an important part of the EB family and has told you everything you need to know about him in a 10 x 4, there is no further need for me to explain why you definitely need to see this guy. Then there is Daniel Savio. He can be considered the godfather of skweee, a musical genre from Scandinavia which some define as a mixture of soul and dubstep. Others describe the complex and multilayered sounds of this genre as electro-R&B.
Electronic Beats is happy to be taking part in this most joyous of celebrations at Künstlerhaus Vianna on June 15, 2012 – and you can be too, if you send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll contact you and let you know if the lucky emailer will be joining the celebration for free. Hope to see you there!
