I.E. gives you a brand-new ‘Smartphone’

Margo Padilla, aka I.E. makes techno gone evil, one of the craziest, danciest shows we’ve ever been to. After her last tour (consisting entirely of playing in Hot Topics, which is possibly some sort of a cultural statement) she’s been rather quiet, but now the silence gets smashed all to hell with her new single ‘Smartphone’. The bouncy, happy hardcore-influenced burner is just a taste of her upcoming album Choose Your Own Adventure, due out August 21st. In true punk fashion, she’s pricing it as ‘whatever you can afford’. That’s the LA spirit we know and love.
