This Music Made From Global Warming Data Will Scare You

In order to raise awareness, The Guardian has used 150 years of climate change data to make a haunting symphony.

If you listen to anything today, it should be The Guardian‘s music video of a minute-long symphony composed entirely from climate change data. It charts 150 years of human-induced global warming and uses temperatures as notes—he higher the note, the higher the temperature. The louder the note, the more carbon there is in the atmosphere. The cadence gradually ascends and crescendoes before ending dramatically at 2016, which is predicted to be the hottest year on record. Watch it here.
