Adobe Revealed Software To Create Fake Speech
They are literally able to put words in your mouth now.
Last week’s Adobe MAX 2016 conference in San Diego unveiled a cutting edge (yet potentially morally dubious) software development that is being touted as “Photoshop for audio”. ‘Project VoCo’ is pitched as a tool for voiceover audio editing, but the possibilities seem limitless; the basic premise is that if you have at least 20 minutes of one person’s recorded speech, the program can then insert new words to sentences in a replication of that person’s voice. The word is still out on whether this will be released to market.
