Annoyed Non-English Speakers Lobby To Legitimize The Word "Vinyls"

If you live in Berlin, chances are you’ve heard non-native English speakers talking or posting about “vinyls.” (This may happen elsewhere in the world, but we’re speaking from personal experience.)

However, as FACT helpfully points out, the plural form of vinyl has and always will be “vinyl.” Nevertheless, a petition on Change.org has sprung up to make “vinyls” the new norm. Apparently, this would “promote inclusiveness” within the vinyl community and protect the innocent utterers of “vinyls,” who are only following the logic of the English-language system, from ridicule.

Choose your side here—you know which one we’re on. If this petition is successful, find us venting our frustration on vinyls like these artists.
