Back in 2013, Chris Hadfield spent almost half a year in space, and the whole time he was out there, he communicated with the world via social media. This hauntingly beautiful tribute to David Bowie is probably his most noteworthy transmission. It’s the first music video entirely recorded in space, and Bowie himself called it “the most poignant version of the song ever created.” Hadfield doesn’t stray too far from the original here—the main difference is that the astronaut in Hadfield’s version is coming back to earth, rather than leaving it.
