Behringer Released The First Images Of Their $400 Minimoog Clone

Behringer has expanded the features of Eurorack Model D with a new clone.

The first images of Behringer’s new ultra cheap Minimoog clone prototype have surfaced. The news follows on from Uli Behringer’s big announcement earlier this week that the instrument company is working on a clone of the legendary synth, whose intellectual property patents have recently expired. The Behringer Model D Eurorack synth module will feature 3 VCOs, a 24 dB Ladder Filter and LFO, plus some modern production necessities like USB and MIDI connectivity.

Behringer’s target price for the clone is $400, which will appeal to heaps of producers who are looking to get their hands on some Moog-style oscillators. Of course, it’s hard to imagine the clone will live up to the real thing, but here’s to hoping. Synthtopia have a breakdown of all the major features of the proposed synth here.
