You Can Make Your Own Step Sequencer With This Business Card

A business card to outshine them all—even ones with watermarks.

This year, attendees at “the greatest synth meeting in the galaxy,” Knobcon 2016, (pause) were handed a business card from an employee at the synthesizer and module manufacturing company Division 6. But Scott Rise’s contact cards did more than list his name and contact information; they also doubled as a printed circuit board that enabled hardware savants to make their own step sequencer. According to the company’s website—which also provides instructions on how to use the card—the mini-board triples as a tiny keyboard. You can check it out in action here. This sequencer business card might be even cooler than Sun Ra’s business cards from the 1950s.
