You may know that musicians like Current 93 and Om have incorporated weird tropes of Eastern orthodox religion into their ethos, but we want to bring to your attention the church that worships Saint John William Coltrane. Through his mastery of the divine trinity of melody, harmony and rhythm, Coletrane gained a cult following that self-identified as the Yardbird Temple. It was eventually recognized by the African Orthodox Church, thus bringing Coltrane legitimate canonization.
