This collection of documentaries spans nearly 30 years of dance music culture.

Since dance music’s inception in the ’80s, numerous documentaries and TV specials have captured the impact that raves have made on the world of music and youth culture. This stunning collection offers a broad spectrum of exposés—both comical and academic—that shed light on the myriad rave scenes that have taken root in the last 30 years. Many of these films, like the1988 movie A Trip Around Acid House or the 1996 Dutch gabber documentary Lola Da Musica, are portals into worlds that disappeared from mainstream electronic music culture long ago.
