Hudson Mohawke has re-imagined one of horror auteur John Carpenter’s seminal themes for the annual LuckyMe advent calendar.

“Escape” takes a well-known synth melody from Carpenter’s 1981 dystopian classic Escape From New York and turns it into a sizzling day-glow affair. Also featured in the giveaway package is an unreleased track by DJ Paypal.

The Glaswegian label’s advent calendar runs through January 6, so keep checking here for more goodies. And check out Hud-Mo live in Vienna back in 2012 on EB.tv.
