Another breakthrough in AV perception has hit the market. The newly launched augmented reality app Architecture of Radio gives your gadget the ability to visualize the electromagnetic waves surrounding us.

The app was developed by Dutch designer Richard Vijgen, and is already available at the App Store for iOS 9 users. The app visualizes OpenCellID‘s data sets from 7 million cell towers, 19 million Wi-Fi routers, and hundreds of satellite locations around the world, resulting in a post-human poetry of interweaving transmissions.

The app reportedly has no practical function other than allowing us see the unseen—but perhaps such a function trumps practicality. For another dose of virtual reality, head here.
