The selector steps up for a panoramic mix of soulful house and sweaty basement jams mixed in inimitable Schulte fashion.
Nachtdigital may still be a few weeks away, but some of the DJs playing the world-renowned festival are getting the celebrations started early. Case in point: this new mix by Jan Schulte. Over the course of the festival, The Salon Des Amateurs mainstay will grace the stage three times across both the dance and ambient stages under his own name and his alias, Wolf Müller. In the lead-up to his Nachtdigital takeover, he’s put his acclaimed record collection to the test.
Stepping up for Berlin’s Cashmere Radio, Schulte rips through 90 minutes of exquisite tunes. Featuring off-kilter dance tracks, mutant synth sequences and a good dose of ecstatic vocal house, the mix showcases the Düsseldorf-based producer and DJ’s unique listening habits. Effortlessly connecting the dots between tribal beat downs, Balaeric and heady basement jams, Jan Schulte’s mix is the perfect way to prepare for the sun-soaked dancefloors and lake-side bliss at Nachtdigital on August 3.
