In the ’70s and ’80s, public television stations had an educational purpose, or at least tried to be of service to the community. One of public TV’s most legendary campaigns was the run of “Do you know where your children are?” ads, which were broadcast on New York’s Channel 5. What would your answer be if Grace Jones had asked you, back in 1979, where your children were?
