Slices star and EB Festival Cologne performer David August has revealed his latest masterpiece: “Patria,” a collaboration with the harpist in his eponymous ensemble, Sissi Rada. The two crafted the tune in August’s home studio, and according to a press release, Rada’s Greek lyrics reflect on the country’s current economic crisis and its effect on her life and loved ones. August’s instrumental bears his trademark emotive depth that mirrors the desperate melancholy of Rada’s elegiac singing with wailing synths that embroider plodding drums and a low-slung bass groove.
