The director of Fitzcarraldo, Aguirre, the Wrath of God and other challenging films has never seen anything like the video for Kanye West’s “Famous”.
Werner Herzog has a way with words. The German director, famous for his controversial approach to filmmaking, has long been a good source for unusual commentary on just about every subject under the sun.
In a recent video for The Daily Beast, Herzog applied his unique perspective to the video for Kanye West’s “Famous”. Looking at the wax figures of current-day celebrities in bed, he comments, “The fact that there’s just breathing and imagining is wonderful about it. This is very good stuff.”
