Far from London, an extremely young grime scene has exploded onto YouTube from Blackpool.

Grime may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Blackpool, but that might be set to change. A new crew of MCs from the Northern England coastal town has hit YouTube in a big way thanks to Blackpool Grime Media, a channel that showcases the city’s rising stars. The twist? The scene is composed almost entirely of teenagers. Little T (who is 12), Soph Aspin, Callyman Sam, Afghan Dan, Dylan Brewer and others all spit fast-paced and raw grime straight from the mean streets of Blackpool.
