The Last Synth Designed By Bob Moog Has Been Discontinued

The much-loved Moog Voyager modular unit has been discontinued.

Moog has announced that they are discontinuing the much loved Minimoog Voyager XL, a synth used by everyone from Brian Eno to Kanye West. Moog’s decision puts an end to the Voyager line, which also included the Voyager RME and Voyager Old School. It also marks the end of the road for the last circuitry designed by company founder Bob Moog.

Moog said in a press release, “As we bid a bittersweet farewell to the Minimoog Voyager XL, we keep the spirit of its circuits front of mind as we design the instruments in our future, acknowledging that the XL is the last of the Voyager family but not the last of its legacy.”

So on that sad but upbeat note, let’s enjoy a video of a Voyager XL being put through it’s paces.
