John Carpenter talks about Korg and the process of discovery with vintage synthesizers.
Director, musician and soundtrack composer (how is that for a triple threat!) John Carpenter recently sat down in front of a camera to discuss his love of Korg synthesizers. Carpenter has directed feats of cinematic history such as Escape From New York, They Live and Assault On Precinct 13. Over the course of his long and varied career his work has changed the sound of horror films forever.
Needless to say, the man has a lot of stories to tell. And in the video above you can hear him talk about scoring low budget student films, his compositional influences and the making of his debut album, Lost Themes.
