Berghain resident Boris has witnessed a lot of important chapters of dance music. Following a lengthy stay in New York in the mid to late ’80s and the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, he felt it was time to return to his home city. For close to a decade he was pretty much unfazed by techno, and as a resident at Ostgut, Berghain’s predecessor, he was all about house and disco in different shapes and forms. Well, those days are long over, as he reinvented himself as a master of long and pummelling sets at Berghain.
