Get ready for some tape hiss brilliance. Shawn Rudiman has been digging into his massive DAT tape archives to reveal some scorching late ’90s techno. The release, titled Synthdrome Vault Archives #1, kicks off a series that dives deep into the Pittsburgh producer’s collection of cuts recorded directly to tape from his Yamaha RM800 studio mixer. The tracks have all been recorded in the late ’90s or early ’00s and feature that special kind of luscious and dubby old-school futuristic techno flair that Rudiman has built his name on.
