We know Matthew Herbert is one of electronic music’s chief innovators with a passion for environmental issues. Take Plat du Jour, his 2005 concept album that questions the moral standards of the global food industry, or the notorious PETA-displeasing One Pig, which consisted entirely of sounds made during a piggie’s life cycle. His latest stunt is pressing a record on a tortilla in a limited edition of 12 units that are “playable on normal hifi, but unlikely to be delicious,” Herbert wrote on Twitter. The record’s lifetime is probably short, but the idea itself will never rot.
