Mr. Ties To Protest Australian Lockout Laws At Next Rally

Sydney anti-lockout activists Reclaim The Streets have scheduled another protest against the laws that are crippling Sydney nightlife for March 19, 2016. The protest comes just one month after the last demonstration, which gathered an estimated 17,000 people under the banner Keep Sydney Open on February 21, and it’s the latest example that anti-lockout sentiment is growing and metastisizing in the Australian state of New South Wales. The next Reclaim The Streets march will head to The Star casino to protest its shady role in instituting the laws all over downtown Sydney except within its own walls, but unlike previous rallies it’ll also involve a free music festival with about 25 stages and 120 artists from Sydney and abroad. The lineup includes a DJ set from Berlin Homopatik resident Mr. Ties, and you can see the rest here.
