Visual and sonic arts collide in fluXpad, an innovative new sample sequencer that lets you draw music like a painting.
Have you ever wanted to draw music? Sure some DAWs let you exercise your visual mind with the grid, but none of them let you generate sounds from crude drawings. Well, until now anyway. Introducing fluXpad, a new sample sequencer that lets you make music with an almost MS-Paint-style interface. According to the website, “The y-axis of your canvas controls the pitch, while the x-axis controls the sustain of your notes.” It offers a totally new way of interacting with sound. Hard to grasp?
