Guadalupe Rosales is shining a light on a very particular moment in ’90s youth culture: the all-female Chicana communities of East LA. Rosales, who moved to from LA to New York 14 years ago, recently gave an interview to LA Weekly, saying, “It’s a living archive of criminalized and exploited brown youth… Its very existence is a reclamation of our stories and how we chose to represent ourselves.” Check out her Instagram account here.
