Noisekölln Tapes are killing it lately. The Berlin-based independent imprint dropped some shamanic-depressive noise from Shanghai’s Pan Daijing recently that had us melting down the wall; now they’re following it up with another cassette of underground electronics from rkss. The project of London-based sound/design student Robin Smith, rkss previously released on Seagrave and Reject & Fade. While these both showcase his more experimental side, his NT EP Submerged/Basement  features what label founder Michael calls “club bangers”. While unlikely to pack an Ibiza floor, the 6-track EP is perfect for gritty basement freak-raves—which are way more cool. Dig that clattering “Basement” premiere above.

rkss and Michael are performing tonight in Berlin at Urban Spree with Jam City, Pictureplane, Eartheater and many more—don’t miss it!
