Veronica Vasicka’s Minimal Wave excels at tracking down obscure synth-pop and post-punk artists and unearthing rare gems. The label’s latest coup is The Invitation of the Dead, a double LP from Japanese artist Tomo Akikawabaya. Akikawabaya released a string of albums on his own Castle Records in the 1980s, but had—until now—largely moved away from the public eye.
