Growing out of the scorched earth that Shreds and Alternablast left in their wake, Shittyflute may be the newest craze in youtube pop music profanity. Whereas Shreds and Alternablast went heavy on the editing, mangling rock and pop bravado into nihilistic postmodern detritus, Shittyflute’s formula is a little bit more simple. All you gotta do is take a pop tune as a backing track and drown out any catchy melodic hook or vocal line with discordant, beginners woodwind accompaniment, and you’ve got yourself a “Shittyfluted” jam.
