Stephen King’s The Shining is a horror classic for a reason. The book, famously turned into a movie by Stanley Kubrick, charts a writer’s descent into madness at the hands of supernatural forces haunting a remote lodge in the Colorado mountains. It’s scared the pants off us on more than one occasion, and now it’s back to do it again, except this time it’s been turned into an opera by the Minnesota Opera. Yes, that’s right, an opera.
