Sunn O))) Channel Inner Minotaur With Show In Labyrinth
For a band like Sunn O))) it has become a rite of passage to actively indulge in the dark underbelly of the sacred and play upon its twisted symbolic orders. So when Stephen O’Malley et al stumbled upon Parma’s Labirinto Della Masone—the world’s largest labyrinth—their profane-o’meter must have exploded. Labyrinth? check. Mysterious library in labyrinth? check. Chapel with religious iconography? Check.
They play the labyrinth on August 9. Judging from what happened the last time they performed in Berlin, it should be good.
