A Supermarket Chain Is Now The UK's Biggest Vinyl Retailer
Way to go, guys. Sainsbury’s, a supermarket chain in the UK, is currently the biggest vinyl retailer in the country. This comes as no surprise, considering the steady growth of vinyl sales over the past years. Sainsbury’s head of music Pete Selby said earlier this year that entering the vinyl market is a good decision, because “The format never used to be elitist”. Dude clearly never stepped foot in an independent record store….though these particular “elitists” needn’t fear being ousted (not yet, anyway) as Sainsbury’s only stocks about 20 different records. So relax and just buy your records where you want.
