Take Apart And Reassemble Tracks Using This App

A new online app created by Ethan Benjamin lets you take apart all of a track’s components and group them into similar-sounding sections. As reported by the Prosthetic Knowledge tumblr, MusicMappr grants you the godlike ability to be like Dilla… at least momentarily. The app uses a machine-learning technique and instructs you to “Hold down keyboard keys A-Z to play through clusters. Hover over dots to play corresponding song sample. Hover over bars to play that part of the song. You can also load your own song from a file or URL.” SoundCloud URLs also work, so give it a try here.
