This Piece On Disrupting White Supremacy Through Sound Is Essential Reading

Artists like Mykki Blanco, Serpentwithfeet, Angel-Ho and Chino Amobi are doing more than simply transgressing boundaries in music (while making some of our absolute favorite sounds). Their work is essential in raising visibility in African and Afrodiasporic issues including queer identity and the Black Lives Matter movement. The Fader’s Adam Harper recently posted a large piece on this subject, and it’s an important and fascinating read in both its message and examination of some of the most inventive sound artists today.
