Who would have thought that Pepe Rosello’s decision to open an auditorium in 1986 would blossom into the world-renowned (yet now-shuttered) mega-club institution that was Space Ibiza. This fascinating documentary charts the course by gathering interviews from some of the personalities who’ve been intimately involved with the club over the years. Eric Morillo, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and more trace the club’s history from ravey nights on the infamous rooftop terrace to full-on bacchanalias in the main hall. If nothing else, it will make you wish the club never had to shut its doors.
