But how much do we really know about the woman who gave us, among many things, the spooky soundtrack to Doctor Who? Described as “an audio-visual love letter,” Canadian director Kara Blake’s award-winning 2009 documentary The Delian Mode contains many fascinating insights into Derbyshire’s life and work, such as the fact that she considered herself “post-feminist” before the concept of feminism even existed.
