We had no idea that software development and content editing could sound so good.
Two online projects are transforming some fairly dry workflow and editing processes into beautiful music. GitHub Audio tracks events across the software development website GitHub, and Listen to Wikipedia follows realtime edits from users and automated bots on everyone’s favorite online encyclopedia. Both projects use gentle string plucks, bells and ambient swells to represent all of this activity. Try running both sites in two browser windows: the results are positively symphonic.
