The times of muddy, debaucherous day-long live music orgies may be drawing to a close, as the new keywords for big festivals are “participation,” “virtual reality” and “street food.” While Bloc Festival co-founder George Hull had a proper meltdown and wrote a thinkpiece railing against contemporary rave culture, The Guardian has dug deeper.
