Are People Buying More Turntables Than CDJs?

With vinyl sales on the rise, turntables are selling better too.

Is vinyl really back or is it just a consumer fad? DJ Tech Tools has a new article that provides an in-depth exploration of this question.

They point out two reasons for the increase in sales: The first is the crossover between consumers and DJs. The second is the rise in portable turntables. One of the best selling turntables right now is the Numark PT01, a battery-powered machine that sparked the “portabalist movement.” That said, the biggest market share still goes to DJ controllers which basically means everyone is DJing with shitty MP3s these days, or does it?
