We're Already Excited for Brian Eno's John Peel Lecture
Brian Eno will deliver the 2015 John Peel Lecture, the BBC’s “annual discussion on music and music-related media.” The series, which is named after one of the UK’s most famous presenters, hosted a lecture from Iggy Pop last year. The next edition will take place at the British Library on September 27, and according to a statement Eno submitted to BBC, he will use the opportunity to “examine the ecology of culture” and “show how cultural processes confer essential benefits on society.” In the meantime, you can mine his thoughts on such topics in our archive interview with the ambient icon and our deep investigation of a recent re-release package.
