As technology advances, so do modern music making techniques. iPad and iPhone apps geared towards music production have become increasingly sophisticated and much more accessible to new musicians looking to experiment, seasoned artists looking to diversify their studios and creative people who just don’t want to break the bank on expensive hardware.

The iPad Drum Machine DM2 is the latest app to enter this market. It has a “drone machine” mode that lets users make continuous ambient sound by playing up to nine tracks continuously.
