Dutch new age-house producer Palmbomen II’s music drips with ’80s reverence. For his new record, Memories of Cindy Pt. 1, he’s gone one step further and channeled the whole of ’80s informercial and talk show culture into a really wacky, faux free-form television show. From strange and meandering interviews to fake adds for “crazy falafel” and toothpaste companies, all of which is set to the sounds of glossy new age melodies, the 20-minute video is definitely a retro-psychedelic trip. Who said vaporwave was dead? Watch the video below.
