Berlin's Her Damit Techno Festival Has Been Postponed Due To Fire Danger

her damit festival

The festival has been postponed due to severe fire warnings for the region.

Earlier this year, we wrote about the fourth edition of Her Damit festival, a major house and techno festival taking place in an abandoned bunker in an ex-military outpost in Freudenberg, 50 kilometres from Berlin. Her Damit was set to host the likes of Kobosil, Shed, Norman Nodge, Roi Perez and many more.

Unfortunately the festival—which was set to take place starting next week, June 8-10—has now been postponed due to unforeseen and severe forest fire warnings affecting the area. An alternative date has yet to be set.

The festival organizers released a full statement announcing the postponement on the Her Damit website, which you can read in full below:

We regret to inform that we have to postpone this years HER DAMIT 2018 in June due to the high risk of forest fires currently in Brandenburg.

This past Friday (25.05.2018) we received an email from the authorities informing us that the state of Brandenburg currently has reached highest level of forest fire warnings, due to the ongoing heatwave in the next weeks, the warning level will not go down. We had agreed to wait till after the weekend, even with the heavy rain on Sunday it did not ease the situation.

Unfortunately we are left with no choice but to postpone  – the safety of the festival goers, performers and staff is for us at the utter most importance.

We are just checking a new date where we can take our line-up (mostly) to. As soon as the new date is on, there will also be more detailed information about the refund options for anyone who can’t come to the new date. Please give us a few more days. Thank you!
For refunds regarding your bassliner-tickets please contact them directly at buero@bassliner.org

Again we apologise and hope you understand the current situation, unfortunately we are powerless against nature.
