Jeff Mills Will Play A Live Soundtrack To 'Metropolis' In Berlin
The Detroit legend will show off his cinematic compositional chops on August 24.
Continuing his rich experience as a film score composer, Jeff Mills is set to return to Berlin for a live soundtracking of Fritz Lang’s silent film Metropolis. Mills’ performance follows from his recent work composing alternate soundtracks to the world’s great cinematic masterpieces. Alongside his work on Metropolis, Mills has also recently composed soundtracks for Walther Ruttman’s Berlin – Die Sinfonie der Großstadt and the landmark 1902 sci-fi film A Trip To The Moon, released earlier this year on his Axis imprint.
The event takes places at Kolonnadenhof der Museumsinsel on August 24th as part of the UFA Film Nights series. Buy tickets for the event here. Watch Mills discuss how he creates film scores with EB.tv below.
