New Tidal Feature Lets Literally Anyone Be A DJ
This new feature could change how you listen to music.
Streaming service Tidal just recently introduced a new feature for its iOS and Android apps called “Track Edit” that lets users change the tempo and length of songs. Altered songs can then be saved and listened to in playlists. Though seemingly innocuous on the surface, this update basically means that users can create free-flowing, tempo-matched DJ-style playlists with ease. While we’re sure this won’t be used in clubs anytime soon, we do wonder if it might not lead to some rather strange developments in DJ culture someday down the line.
