Swiss synth-pop duo Yello have always been on the cutting edge of electronic dance music. Now it seems that extends into the present—Dieter Meier and Boris Blank have tapped Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann to create a remix for “Limbo”, a new cut off their freshly released album, Toy.
In Dettmann’s hands, the song takes on a darker quality that mixes the group’s absurdism with the hypnotic techno pulse that courses through his marathon closing sets at the world-renowned Berlin nightclub. Give it a listen below. Yello has not announced a release date, so we can only assume it will drop sometime in the new year.
