What is the relationship between electronic music and Ancient Greece? This question is explored as a part of the sadly never aired 13-part TV series The Owl’s Legacy. The show was directed by Chris Marker, a video essayist whose work La Jetée was the basis for 12 Monkeys (and many other sci-fi films). One segment of the series, Music, or Inner Space, explores the unusual sonic worlds of avant-garde Greek-French experimental electronic composer Iannis Xenakis. This show is probably as far-out as you’re going to get today. Take a half-hour break, strap in and give it a watch below.
