It seems Pioneer DJ is on a mission to put turntables inside the home of every smartphone user. The gear company has become synonymous with advances in digital DJ technology, be it through their CDJs or controllers, and with the launch of the WeDJ app they’re bringing the art DJing to everyday communication devices. The virtual DJ experience includes a crossfader and the ability to loop, sample, mark cue points or—of course—auto-sync. We’re skeptical as to whether WeDJ is going to help uncover the next generation of DJ talent. Chances are it’ll just make every house party an even more annoying fight for the aux cable.
