YouTubers Are Using A Toy Octopus To Play A '90s Rave Classic
But why?
File this one under “What?!?!” It seems that old raver parents are using a very specific toy octopus to play Faithless’ 1995 progressive house anthem, “Insomnia”. The phenomenon has become so widespread that it’s now a viral sensation on YouTube
The toy in question is called the Octotunes. Its eight stuffed tentacles produce different notes when squeezed. This means that any number of songs can be played…which makes us wonder why it’s being used for this particular rave cut. PLUR flashbacks, perhaps? Watch some videos below.
